In January 2007, Councilman Gossage
introduced the "Home
Improvement Holiday, during which permit
fees were waived for most residential renovations and repairs.
With over $23,000 in savings for ratepayers and a 30% increase in
permits issued, the program was highly successful.

Bryan proposed a
half-million dollar property tax decrease in Apex for
Fiscal Year 05/06. His proposal,
although not included in the final budget, would have lowered Apex's
property tax rate by 5%.

Councilman Gossage voted for
placement of $20M in bonds on the ballot
in 2004. The bonds passed
overwhelmingly, and are financing extensive transportation and
parks programs throughout Apex and did not require a tax increase. To read
